Just Opinions...

Do you think that robots will one day contribute to unemployment? Do they already contribute to unemployment?
No, I do not believe robots contribute to unemployment. Robots would imply AI's being created/produced so advanced that the model would be able to complete human jobs. Unemployment does happen, yes, but I do not think the robots have anything to do with it. Technology maybe, but robots?? That doesn't sound very realistic. I will not doubt it though.

What are the most recent technological developments which have appeared in cars?
Energy saving, auto pilot cars, recently featured by the Tesla models. Fancy stuff.

How would your life change if all your technological devices were taken away for a week?
I wouldn't feel any type of way. Technology just takes up time. My technology does not help me shower, It does not help me eat, it does not help me sleep, It does nothing for me except avert my eyes and distract me. I would probably be stuck on campus though... I would have no other way to get home except for by walking.

Do you think that technology will ever be able to produce a device which translates spoken languages in real time? When? What would the impact of such a device be?
This is a silly question, of course I think it is possible. Technology is evolving at a rapid pace. It will be a matter of time before someone dreams of it and makes it a reality. When, does not matter to me, but the impact would be huge. A lot of things (words) are lost through translation so, I believe this device, If properly designed, could prevent such a loss. It would also be a revolutionary invention. There are many business translators today who make a living off of translating words, phrases, sentences, into other languages. What would happen to them? Will they be out of a job?

An interesting piece of technology that I searched that will be coming very soon is.. the TensorFlow, by GOOGLE.

I was okay with just printing papers

3-D printing seems to be very straightforward. I can say that I really won't be using one? I mainly use printing for assignments and nothing more. Outside of schoolwork and at home, I can see 3-D printing being VERY popular. 3-D printing is not meant for papers, but more used to create better models. I will be fine without one, but I can see 3-D printing becoming revolutionary.

The way technology advances is by taking these sort of risks, and I do think 3-D printing will become revolutionary. A 3-D printout of a model can really be helpful for companies who only have high-tech visual models. The 3-D printing will help with the creation of better models and structures. Humans have done fine without the 3-D printer, but who knows how humans will do with the models? I believe 3-D printing will truly be a worthwhile investment.

Multi-tasking confirmed to prevent cancer!

Yes, I believe everyone has the ability to multi-task. I believe some people are better at multi-tasking than others. I do not multi-task well, my time management skills are mediocre. I like to focus on one task at a time to prevent any sort of stress. My freshman year, I tried swimming and being a student, and it seems I was too lazy to do either. I guess it depends on how determined you are to get x amount of things done in a specific time frame.

Multi-tasking always drains me mentally and I do not like the feeling of being worn out so, I would rather not multi-task. Even though I do multi-task, Walking and texting, eating and talking, eating and texting, texting and learning, talking and learning, and so on. I believe more difficult, advanced multi-tasks exist, but taking it slow can never go wrong. Taking things slow is the only thing that benefits me.

I believe multi-tasking creates smarter children, as it is listed under puzzles and problem solving. I believe multi-tasking stimulates multiple parts of the brain, which can enhance one's learning ability. When I think of multi-tasking, I think of executing more than one task in a specific time frame. That is where multi-tasking comes into play. As I have stated above, my time management skills are very much MEDIOCRE, and I seem to enjoy being lazy and taking my time so, multi-tasking isn't for me and I am very ill-motivated.

Can I be a cyborg now?

For some reason.. I've always wanted a pair of glasses. I kind of wanted to have blurry vision so I could wear glasses whenever I wanted. I always wanted to rely on my glasses. MY FAVORITE GLASSES MOMENTS ARE DURING AN EQUATION OR TALKING WITH MY PROFESSOR AND I CAN JUST RANDOMLY FIX MY GLASSES, WHENEVER I WANT. It is sort of a weird thing, but for a long time I wanted a pair. For as long as I could remember.

My response to the question is YES. Regardless of the function of the glasses.. I would wear a pair just because they were glasses. I think these computer glasses have the potential to desync the world. For the babies being born into this type of technology, the world would surely be a better place without them. Keep the silly high-tech glasses in the laboratories, with the scientist who seem to NEED them. We already have our cellphones, children do not need to adapt anymore than they already have.. THEY ARE JUST KIDS!

REST IN PEACE, OUR CULTURE AS WE KNOW IT!

This article is bigger than we know it. And this is a very serious question.

Even though the goggles are still under development, they have the potential to create more false identities! For the children being raised in the next gen, THE GROUND, BENEATH US... THAT IS EARTH!

My phone? This is my hand... I'm a cyborg.

I'll be honest, if my phone was a bomb.. I would be dead. Not because I use my phone whenever I can, wherever I am, but because I do bring my cellphone with me almost everywhere I go. If a person were to ask me if the phone distracts me.. I could easily and honestly answer NO, it does not distract me. My life does not revolve around my phone, but if there is nothing for me to do, and I am without company.. my phone becomes a part of me and I allow myself to be consumed in the device, because I can. But don't get it twisted, I can kill my phone whenever I want.

All around me I can see people with phones, redirecting their attention to something that seems to be a bit more important to them than what is in front of them. There is no issue with that, it is merely a matter of perspective. IF A PERSON FEELS AS IF THEY SHOULD BE SO FOCUSED ON THEIR PHONE THAT THEY HAPPEN TO WALK INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC and get hit, that is on them, GET WELL SOON. It is not an error of of judgment, and it does not make them irresponsible, it just means they have chosen to focus on their phone. This example may extreme case, and people appear to be more sensible, BUT IT CAN AND DOES HAPPEN.

Internet give'th ME STRENGTH?!

Pro: Technology empowers people by giving them the information needed to live in this complex world; for example, information about their health and welfare lets people challenge those in power.

Con: Technology empowers the few who control it and disempowers the rest, for example, the majority of the world is losing access to their information, intellectual property, resources, and opportunities for advancement, language, and culture. Technology and the Internet are another way for the rich to control how the world works in order that they can control and benefit from the work of the poor.

I think that technology gives people a little TOO MUCH POWER. Not only by giving them information but allowing the users to use the computer screen.. AS A SHIELD! Being empowered appears to be a good thing, but I view this as a negative thing. Giving such power to a naive child that knows NOT WHAT THEY DO is kind of.. foolish. I know most parents don't expect their "lovely, angelic, wouldn't hurt a fly" child to be terroristic and viewed as "toxic" or "trolls" on the web. No one would expect it.

I do believe there are people who use the internet as an "antidote" or for healing, because of their disabilities and or anti social, introverted lifestyle. I believe in this way being empowered is an "okay" thing, but relying on such a device only harms the individual in the long run. It truly traps you and even has its own withdrawal symptoms.

But because the internet is worldwide, an individual can "share" their story and have many others who can relate with them and empower each other. This I believe is internet empowerment in its MOST PURE FORM

Naturally with pros of this type come cons, and that is how sensitive the victims are to the criticism they receive (OVER THE INTERNET), and how many people can and DO capitalize on the situation. It would be best to just keep your problems OFF the internet.

The internet is NOT a place for feelings.

Internet privacy?? What privacy!?

In order to understand the meaning of "internet privacy".. I must first define internet.. THEN, second, I must define the word privacy.

The internet, defined by Webster is: an electronic communications network that connects computer networks and organizational computer facilities around the world. The word privacy, also defined by Webster is: the state of being alone : the state of being away from other people: the state of being away from public attention.

Now.. After putting the pieces together, I can say that INTERNET PRIVACY IS being alone while browsing the surface layer of the worldwide web! The article "Improve Your Internet Privacy In 15 Minutes" gives the readers/viewers many ways to "improve" your internet privacy as well as "protect" yourself while browsing around the surface layer web. This "protection" keeps your searches confidential and also keeps your information "hidden" without tracking you. All you need to do is download and install!

I can say this and am very confident that there is absolutely NO WAY to have privacy on the internet. surface web. And even on the deeper web, which is PROBABLY 10 times more dangerous.

BROWSE AT YOUR OWN RISK!
